I am so happy that you are here.
Though wanting to receive my guests warmly, I didn’t want to use the word ‘welcome’ because it is rather cliché ~ especially on websites and blogs. With casual, repetitive use, the meaning and definition of the word is, possibly, lost, or at least not given too much thought.
So, I’d rather just warmly invite you to enjoy my images and perhaps my musings. The intent is to give pleasure and contentment to your mind and senses; to present an opportunity to rest after a long journey, as our days can seem as such. May you find expressions of goodwill upon meeting me, as well as others who come to visit and view, to read and reply.
Photography is potentially a give and take experience; if well-crafted, it is giving on the part of the elements of the recorded moment and taking on the part of the viewer the gifts of heightened senses and emotions of that moment. Though challenging to capture and convey, it is hoped that these gifts are effectually evident in my work. Receive and accept them freely and gladly.
Thoughts and ideas, comments and feedback, are respected and welcomed. I look forward to hearing from you.
~ If you were to look up the definition of ‘welcome’ you would find it means “giving pleasure or contentment to the mind or senses; an expression of goodwill; to receive and accept gladly or readily.”
